History doesn't stay in one place.

People move — driven, exiled, escaping, searching. Every life traces a route across geography and time. AutoStoryteller begins from that truth: a story is a journey, and a journey can be followed — by a reader, a conference hall, or a visitor walking a living map.

03 / 08 · The capture

Evidence begins in the field.

A researcher with a phone becomes a rigorous field unit. One day, end to end:

  1. BeforeThe plan travels to the app — sites, scenes, shot lists — and works fully offline.
  2. On siteCoached capture, sealed at the shutter: every photo, video, and recording hashed, located, timestamped, and signed the moment it's made. When a moment outruns the app, one tap records the intent — the shot itself is matched and admitted that evening, honestly labeled.
  3. EveningEvening Field Review on the laptop: the day is verified, taken into custody, and measured against the plan — you learn what to reshoot while you can still go back.
  4. NightTomorrow's schedule is revised and republished to the app. When the trip ends, a verifiable chain of custody carries everything home.

Capture correctly when possible. Detect problems while they can still be corrected. Preserve the original. Never silently alter the historical record.

06 / 08 · The record

Built to protect what cannot be replaced.

Testimony of displacement, deportation, and genocide is entrusted, not owned. Evidence is sealed the moment it is captured; every transfer extends a verifiable chain of custody; corrections create new derivatives while originals are never altered — and media that was generated is permanently labeled, never presented as documentary. The record is retained in full, and the story is told only on top of a record kept faithfully.

07 / 08 · The people

The story belongs to the people in it.

Communities hold authority over their own cultural material — an authority no institution can grant, hold, or withdraw. Provenance travels with every record, and an institution's knowledge is never locked in or held hostage. Trust is built into the foundation, not promised on top of it.
